Open calls: cascade funding
Large EU programmes pass part of their budget onward through smaller open calls, aimed straight at SMEs: €30,000-500,000 per company, no consortium to build, decided in months. The catch is that everything rides on one document, judged against criteria most applicants never read.
That document is our product. You bring the facts, we write the application to the standard the evaluators reward, and we take it with you all the way to the submit button.

Between the open calls and the big rounds sits a third kind of European money: joint transnational R&D. You bring a partner in another country, you apply together to one call, and the funding reaches each of you through your own national agency. Eurostars is the main one — its Call 10 drew 687 applications, and eligibility is checked before anything is scored.
The difficulty is structural, not technical. The application has to hold up as one project across two budgets, two national rule sets and two sets of accounts. That is the document we write.

Above the open calls sits a different game. No single EU instrument hands one company €5-30M as a grant; the realistic route is a stack of two to four instruments, grant plus equity plus debt, in an order that has to be planned before the first application is written.

On the open calls we have analysed funded applications in your sector and mapped what the evaluators reward: the evidence, the structure, the framing. That analysis goes into every application we write there. On the other two routes we work from the programme’s own published evaluation criteria and assessor guidance, and we say so rather than implying a track record we have not built yet.
One fixed price, agreed before we start.
On the open calls and the Joint R&D Track there is no success fee and no percentage of your grant. The Scale-up Track is fixed-price too, with one exception we state up front: 2.5% on an awarded grant component, with the Blueprint price deducted in full. On all three routes you answer questions and we produce the documents.

Digital health, medtech, biotech and diagnostics. This is where the open calls pay out most: the median health call is the largest of any sector we work in, and several are single-company, so there is no consortium to assemble. What they do demand is evidence of clinical or market validation, framed the way the assessors weigh it.

Dual-use technology, with drones and counter-drone work explicitly in scope. The first calls are live today through the Euroclusters track, and the European Defence Fund opened cascade funding across all its topics in its 2026 work programme — so this moves from a handful of calls to a real segment over the next two years. Eligibility here is stricter than elsewhere: control of the company matters as much as the technology.

Within 5 working days. If you go ahead within 30 days, the €450 is deducted in full. If the Plan says “don’t”, you keep it and owe nothing more.

Round 1 — the first draft
The complete application text, written from your facts and mapped to the call’s criteria, plus an evaluator simulation: your draft scored the way the panel will score it.

Round 2 — the revision
Your comments and the weak spots from the simulation worked in, followed by a second review round on your side.

Final — ready to file
The finished text, the budget and the annexes, and a walkthrough of the portal and the form fields that quietly decide outcomes. You stay the applicant and press submit; that is how the portals are built.
What the full application costs, by size of call
The fee follows the size of the call, not your grant — roughly 2% to 4% of what the call pays out, and the bigger the call the smaller the share. The €450 Application Plan is already included. Fixed, and excluding VAT:

After the Application Plan, the rest is paid in two halves: on signing the application agreement, and once the finished application is ready for you to file. No percentage of your grant, and no invoice afterwards for money you have not received yet. If your application is rejected on a formal or admissibility ground that is down to us, we rewrite and resubmit it for the next round at no cost — or you get your money back, whichever you prefer.
Applying for a second call in parallel: €1,500 on top — only for genuinely distinct, non-overlapping calls, and only when your stated capacity can deliver them if awarded. Calls above €500,000 are scoped individually, on request.

Which countries do you work in?
Wherever the call reaches. Every call defines its own eligible countries, and most cover all EU-27 and Horizon Europe associated countries: if your country is eligible for the call, we can write for you. In the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain and Portugal you can also fill in the intake in your own language.
When do I pay?
In three steps, so you never commit to the whole thing blind. The first step is free: a Match Report (open calls) or a Joint Report (Joint R&D). The second is an Application Plan — €450 on the open calls, €475 per partner on the Joint R&D Track (€950 in total for two partners, invoiced to one partner) — the skeleton of your application and our candid read of your chances, deducted in full if you continue within 30 days. The application itself is one fixed fee, set by the size of the call and agreed before you commit, with no success fee and no percentage of your grant. A Joint R&D application starts at €4,975 per partner on the same terms — no fee on your grant. That works out at €9,950 in total for a two-partner consortium, which is what Eurostars and most joint programmes require; each partner above two adds €2,500, because every extra partner means an extra budget, an extra work package and an extra alignment round. A three-party consortium is €12,450. On the Scale-up Track the Scale Report is free and the Blueprint is a fixed price, with one exception stated up front: a 2.5% success fee on the grant component only, from which the Blueprint price is deducted in full. Every first step — Match Report, Joint Report, Scale Report — is free. All amounts exclude VAT.
What if I don't win?
You owe nothing beyond the fee you already agreed. Award is always at the discretion of the funding body, and we tell you your realistic odds before you commit — including when the honest answer is that this call is not worth your time.
Can I apply for several calls at once?
Yes, when the calls are genuinely distinct and non-overlapping and your capacity can deliver them if awarded. Each application is priced by the size of its own call; every additional application in parallel adds €1,500.
Can I see a sample report first?
No. Reports are confidential to each client. Your own first one is the sample — a Match Report, Joint Report or Scale Report depending on the route — and it is free and honest about your fit.
