Scale-up Track

Raising €5-30M is an architecture problem.

No single European instrument hands one company that amount. The route is a stack, and the order decides whether it holds.

Written report in 5 working days. No calls, no obligation.

One honest correction, before anything else.

There is no European grant that awards €5-30M to a single company. Anyone who suggests otherwise is selling you something. The realistic route is two to four instruments stacked, grant plus equity plus debt, in an order that has to be planned before the first application is written.

    Eucade writes this

We build and write the grant layers, and we plan the order the whole stack has to follow. Equity and debt conversations stay yours: we never take a fee on capital you raise privately.

Amounts and conditions from the EIC Work Programme 2026 and the STEP regulation. Which layers apply to you is exactly what the free Scale Report works out.

It starts with a free written report.

A 12-16 page report specific to your company: the capital-stack architecture, a verdict per instrument, and your regulatory milestones tied to the funding timeline. You have it within five working days of a complete written intake.

A Scale Report is allowed to conclude “not now”. When it does, it says so, with the route that does make sense instead. Everything is written, so it is forwardable to your board and verifiable against the sources we cite.

Award decisions rest solely with the funding bodies. We never guarantee outcomes, and neither should anyone else: be wary of any adviser who guarantees you funding.

Grant layers, this cycle.

€3.1M
One section of a written report. Figures illustrative; yours come from your own position.

If the report says go, the Blueprint turns it into a dated plan.

Which route you need follows from what the report finds. If your realistic path runs through the grant system, you do not pay for an equity and debt architecture you will not use. If it does not, a grant-only plan would leave out the part that decides your round.

Blueprint Grant

€7,450

The subsidy route worked out in full, with one fallback inside the grant domain. Instrument selection and sequencing, the evaluation criteria mapped one-to-one onto your company, a gap analysis with an owner and a lead time per item, the document checklist, the application architecture, the regulatory master plan, submission strategy and a verification log.

Choose this when the grant component is the decisive part of your round.

Blueprint Stack

€11,900

Everything in Blueprint Grant, plus the rest of the capital stack: equity, debt and the national layer. Adds an investor-readiness and pre-commitment plan for the STEP gatekeeper condition, the debt component and the order the tranches have to be stacked in, advice on selecting your writing partner, and a handover dossier.

Choose this when grant money alone does not close the round.

Both are fixed prices, agreed before we start.

2.5%

Success fee, on the grant component only

Due only if a grant is actually awarded, and calculated solely over the awarded grant. Equity, debt and any other capital in your stack are excluded. The Blueprint price you have already paid is deducted from it in full, so the fee is never a second bill for the same work. If nothing is awarded, nothing is due.

The order is the whole job.

A grant applied for in the wrong quarter, or an equity gate opened before the pre-commitment exists, costs a cycle you cannot get back.

The rules that decide the outcome before a word is written.

Instrument knowledge at the rule level, not the brochure level. These are the constraints we plan around from day one, because a wrong first submission is expensive in ways an invoice never shows.

Who this is for

Deeptech SMEs with a capital need of €5-30M: industrialisation, certification, a first production line. Technology proven beyond the lab, traction on record, and a round to build. If your need sits below €5M, our cascade track is the better entry, and we will tell you so.

EIC Accelerator, and the three-strikes rule

A grant of up to €2.5 million plus an optional equity component, awarded in fixed submission batches. Three failed attempts exclude a company from further Horizon Europe applications, so the first submission is not a trial run. Parallel submission across Accelerator and STEP is not permitted.

EIC STEP Scale Up, and the gate most companies miss

Equity tickets of €10-30 million, gated by a pre-commitment from a qualified investor. That condition decides the file before anything else does, and it is the reason a STEP ambition often has to start with investor work rather than with writing.

Aiming at this instrument specifically? Compare the two STEP Scale Up routes, defence and non-defence, with the condition that decides both.

How the work runs

Three written steps: the free Scale Report, then the Funding Blueprint if the report concludes go, then execution with screened specialist writing partners while Eucade directs the file. Throughout, we handle the grant component of your funding stack. Equity and debt conversations remain yours.
