ECDI Dual-Use Drones · ~10 minutes

Check your fit for the ECDI drone call.

Up to €35,000 equity-free for drone-manufacturing SMEs in the dual-use market — deadline 30 September 2026, 17:00 CEST. Every question below maps to a field or eligibility rule of the official application form, so nothing you fill in is wasted. We come back within 2 working days with an honest eligibility and fit assessment.

Fill in this form in your own language. We write your Match Report and the official EU application in English — you only need to be able to read them. That way you lose no time translating; we handle that.

Must be an EU Member State or a country participating in the Single Market Programme (COSME strand).

ECDI is open to manufacturing SMEs only — service providers, software-only companies and consultancies are not eligible.

Fewer than 250 employees and annual turnover ≤ €50M or balance sheet ≤ €43M, including partner and linked enterprises. The application requires the EC SME self-assessment.

ECDI requires at least one drone product at TRL 6 or higher, plus a commitment to advance it by at least one level during the 6-month programme.

The application requires a mandatory "TRL Evidence" annex with one or more of these.

A mandatory annex: dual-use items are defined by Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2021/821.

€8,750 at the full €35,000 grant, from own funds or committed external financing, with documented proof. In-kind contributions, personnel costs and planned-but-uncommitted fundraising do not qualify.

SMEs still in the Civil programme cannot apply; alumni can, within a €60,000 total ECDI grant cap.

Mirrors "Description of your product" in the application. A short, concrete paragraph is enough for now.

Most cascade calls fund 70-85% and expect the rest from you — in cash or committed external financing. Contributions in kind, staff time and planned-but-uncommitted fundraising do not qualify. This is a hard go/no-go, so an honest answer here saves us both the work.

Everything together: grants, equity and debt. Above €1M there is usually a second route worth knowing about, and we will say so in your report.
